1What is the medical specialisation, interventional radiology?
Interventional radiology focuses on diagnosing and treating conditions by inserting small surgical equipment (wires/catheters) from outside the body. When performing medical procedures, an interventional radiologist is guided by imaging studies (X-rays, ultrasounds and CT scans).

3Is interventional radiology considered safe?
While ionising radiation can lead to cellular damage, it’s unlikely to occur during your exam. This is because radiation exposure during an interventional procedure is low.

4How does your payment system work?
Interventional radiology procedures are covered by most medical aids and pre approval can be done on a case to case basis.
